How a Quick Weekend Project for Our Social Media Team Became a Free Public Tool
- Lightweight caption and font utility originally coded as an internal productivity micro-tool.
- 100% free with zero ads, subscriptions, or login walls at fontassist.wfd.ph.
- Built for Capisnon students, creators, MSMEs, and social media managers to style posts in seconds.
A Small Afternoon Project to Solve an Everyday Problem
When running an internet company, people usually expect me to talk about optical fiber cables, core network routing, or bandwidth speeds.
What many people might not know is that aside from leading Wesfardell Connect, I studied Computer Science way back when. Whenever I have free time outside operations, I find myself coding small, practical software utilities.
A few weeks ago, while working with our social media team, I noticed a bottleneck: they were spending way too much time formatting, testing, and styling custom fonts and characters for our social media captions.
Every caption required opening clunky web converters filled with slow ads, navigating complicated formatting sites, or copying and pasting back and forth between multiple tabs.
So that quiet afternoon, I tested vibe coding a lightweight tool to solve our teamβs headache.
What is FontAssist?
The goal was simple: create a fast, single-purpose tool where our team could type their text, instantly test font styles, and copy clean, formatted text in seconds.
- β‘ Lightning Fast: No bloated scripts or heavy dashboards. It loads instantaneously in any browser.
- βοΈ Instant Caption Styling: Type once, see how different font weights, styles, and character sets look in real time, and copy with one click.
- π Zero Friction: No account registration, no logins, no paywalls, and absolutely no annoying popup ads.
Opening It Up for Everyone
What started as an internal tool to save our own social media team a few minutes per post caught on. Friends and local creators who tried it told me how much easier it made their workflow.
Instead of keeping it locked inside our internal workspace, I decided to host it at fontassist.wfd.ph and make it 100% free and open for the public.
Whether you are a student writing an announcement for your school org, a local business owner drafting a Facebook post, a content creator, or a designer, FontAssist is completely free for you to use.
Is this a paid Wesfardell service?
